These stuffed Croissants are both savory and sweet and make a perfect appetizer for a Summer party.
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Unroll Wewalka refrigerated croissant dough on enclosed parchment paper and place on a baking sheet.
3. Top each Croissant with ½ slice (cut lengthwise) of prosciutto. Add 1 ½ TBSP Brie, and place some of the Julienned pears on top.
4. Carefully roll up Croissant, pinching the ends to keep filling from spilling out while cooking. Once rolled up, seal all edges by carefully pinching with fingers. Place on parchment lined baking sheet and brush with egg wash.
5. Cook 15-20 minutes, until nicely browned. Some filling may leak out during cooking.
6. Remove Croissants from oven and serve immediately.
For added umami flavor, try adding some fig preserves to a saucepan with a little bit of water. Heat through until it resembles a glaze. Drizzle over the Croissants after then bake.
